Developing new software often involves solving complex technical challenges, testing different approaches, and creating solutions when the outcome isn’t known from the start. These activities may be eligible for Australia’s R&D Tax Incentive, which can provide up to a 43.5% refundable tax offset for eligible companies.
NexIT helps identify and document the technical work behind your software projects, including development processes, experimentation, testing, technical challenges, and outcomes. We provide structured technical evidence that can support your R&D claim while working alongside your R&D tax advisor. From initial development through to documentation, our approach keeps the process clear, organised, and easier to manage.
At NexIT, we create custom software solutions for businesses in Melbourne, Moorabbin, and across Australia, helping teams automate repetitive work, connect their systems, improve efficiency, and deliver better experiences for their customers.
From the first idea to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support, we build technology that is practical, scalable, and designed for long-term business growth.
Choosing a software development partner is about more than technical skills. You need a team that understands your business, listens to your requirements, and builds technology that solves real problems.
At NexIT, our Custom Software Development Melbourne team works closely with you throughout the project, from the initial discussion and planning through development, testing, launch, and ongoing support. For businesses in Moorabbin, we also deliver tailored software solutions designed around specific operational needs and long-term goals.
We believe good software should make your business easier to run, not create more complexity. That’s why we take the time to understand your workflows before recommending a solution. Whether you need to automate repetitive tasks, connect different systems, improve internal operations, or build a completely new digital product, we choose an approach based on your actual requirements.
From small business applications to complex ERP, CRM, SaaS, and integrated platforms, our team focuses on clean development, intuitive user experiences, and technology that can grow with your business. With Custom Software Development in Moorabbin, you work closely with our development team throughout the project, with clear communication, regular updates, and a focus on delivering software that supports your long-term business goals.

Next step
Tell us what you’re building and we’ll reply within one business day with a clear next step.
Absolutely. NexIT provides custom software development across Australia, helping businesses in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and regional areas build reliable digital solutions. While our team is based in Melbourne, with offices in Melbourne CBD and Moorabbin, we work with businesses Australia-wide through a structured remote development process. From initial consultation and planning to development, testing, and deployment, our team maintains clear communication, regular updates, and milestone reviews throughout every project.
Project timelines depend on complexity, scope, and how well requirements are defined. A focused MVP typically takes 8–16 weeks; a full ERP or SaaS platform can take 6–18 months. We work in iterative sprints so you see working software early and can adjust direction based on real feedback. We provide a project estimate and timeline after the discovery phase.
Custom software costs vary widely based on complexity, integrations required, and team size. A focused internal business tool might cost $30,000–$80,000; a full SaaS platform with multi-tenancy and subscription billing typically ranges from $80,000 upward. Book a free consultation and we’ll scope your project and provide a realistic estimate — no obligation.
Off-the-shelf software is built for generic use cases and often requires you to adapt your processes to fit the tool. Custom software is built around your exact workflows, data structures, and business rules — meaning it fits your business from day one and scales with you. For businesses with unique processes or complex integrations, custom software typically delivers a higher long-term ROI than adapting a generic product.
