🌱 Case Study 01 · Retail & Food

Taking a Melbourne produce shopfront online — brand, store, search and social.

T-Gardens Fine Foods sells fresh produce and grocery lines to a loyal local trade. The business had the product and the customers, but everything that happened outside the shop’s four walls — being found online, being ordered from online, looking like one coherent brand — was unbuilt. They engaged NexIT for all four pieces rather than stitching together four suppliers.

❌ Where they started
🛍️No way to sell beyond the shopfront. Every dollar of revenue required someone to physically walk in.
🎨No consistent brand system. Signage, labels and social posts each looked like a different business.
🔍Invisible in local grocery and produce searches against supermarket chains with large budgets.
📱Social used occasionally, with no schedule and no link back to a place customers could buy.
✅ What NexIT put in place
🛒A live e-commerce store with working cart, category shop mirroring the in-store aisles, and checkout.
💬WhatsApp ordering alongside the cart, so regulars can reorder in the channel they already use.
🎭A full brand identity applied consistently across the site, packaging and social templates.
📈An SEO program plus always-on social pointed at the same destination: the online store.
Branding

One identity, everywhere

Logo, palette, typography and social templates — so the shopfront, the site and the feed all read as the same business.

Website

E-commerce built for groceries

Category-led shop, live cart, and a WhatsApp order path for customers who would rather message than check out.

SEO

Found in local food search

Structure, on-page and local signals targeting how Melbourne shoppers actually search for fresh produce and grocery lines.

Social Media

Weekly produce, weekly reach

An always-on content rhythm — seasonal produce, specials and store moments — each post routing back to the store.

💡
Why the WhatsApp path matters commercially

Grocery is a repeat-purchase category: the same customer buys weekly. Every step between “I need produce” and “order placed” costs orders. Putting WhatsApp ordering next to a standard cart means the customer chooses the path with the least friction for them — and the reorder becomes a two-line message instead of a fresh checkout every week.

Running a retail or food business that only sells to people already standing in front of it? That is the same problem, and it has the same fix.

📏 Case Study 02 · Technical Services

Selling a precision service in five capital cities from one website.

Aussie-Dinkum Calibration delivers NATA-traceable calibration across Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, plus a separate medical test & tag division. Technical buyers do not browse — they search for their instrument and their city, then ask for a quote. The site had to answer that search in five places at once without becoming five separate websites.

Divisions
Calibration + medical test & tag
❌ The problem to solve
🗺️Five cities, one brand. Buyers search “calibration [their city]” — a single generic page competes badly in all five.
🧪Two distinct buyers. Calibration clients and medical test & tag clients have different needs and should not be argued with on the same page.
📜Trust is the product. Traceability, compliance and turnaround have to be visible before anyone requests a quote.
💸High-intent, low-volume searches. Wasted clicks are expensive when the total audience is small and technical.
✅ How the site was built
🏙️A page per city, each matching local search intent while sharing one brand, one standard and one quote system.
🩹The medical test & tag division given its own space, so that buyer gets a page written for them.
📝Quote funnels on every service page — one job per page, no page without a next step.
🎯Paid search aimed at instrument- and city-level terms, feeding the same quote pipeline as organic.
Website

City architecture

A structure where each capital city has a real page to rank and convert with, instead of one page trying to serve all five.

SEO

Ranking in five markets

On-page and technical work targeting calibration and instrument searches in each city, plus the medical division separately.

Paid Ads

Buying only the right clicks

Tight, intent-led campaigns on technical search terms — measured on quote requests, not impressions.

Conversion

The quote is the funnel

Every service page ends in a quote request. Nothing is a dead end, and each request arrives with the service and city attached.

📍
Why a page per city beats one national page

A single national page has to be vague to cover everywhere, and vague pages rank and convert badly. Individual city pages let each one carry the specific service, coverage and proof a buyer in that city needs — and they compound: five pages earning rankings in five markets, all feeding one quote inbox.

Service business selling into more than one city, or more than one type of buyer? This is the architecture that makes it work.

🏭 Case Study 03 · Products & Trade

Making a national product brand findable by the trade buyers who specify it.

Oranex manufactures render and plaster products sold Australia-wide. The catch with product brands is that buyers — builders, plasterers, specifiers — rarely search the brand name. They search the product, the application and the problem. NexIT built the website from the ground up and runs the ongoing SEO program that puts the range in front of that search.

❌ The challenge
👤Nobody searches the brand. Trade buyers search product types and applications, so brand-led pages never get seen.
🌏A national audience, no shopfront. There is no local search advantage to lean on.
🔧Technical products need technical answers — coverage, application, compatibility — before an enquiry happens.
🏢Competing against established suppliers already holding the category rankings.
✅ The approach
📦A product-led website organised the way buyers think: by product type and application, not by internal company structure.
🔍An SEO program targeting category and application searches across the country, not just the brand name.
📋Specification detail on the page, so a buyer can qualify the product without picking up the phone first.
🔄Ongoing, not one-off. Rankings in a competitive trade category are held by continuous work, not a launch.
Website

Built around the range

A site structured by product and application so each line has a page that can rank and answer a buyer’s question.

SEO

Category-level visibility

Targeting how the trade searches — product types, applications and problems — to reach buyers who have never heard the brand.

Content

Technical detail that sells

Specifications and application guidance that both satisfy search engines and pre-qualify the enquiry before it lands.

Ongoing

A program, not a project

Continuous SEO work to hold and extend positions in a category where competitors are also investing.

🏷️
The product-brand rule

If your customers search for what your product does rather than what it is called, your website has to be organised around the job, not the brand. Get that right and you capture demand from buyers who did not know you existed — which is the only kind of growth available to a product brand competing on a national field.

Manufacture or distribute a product range that buyers search for generically? Same problem, same playbook.

Capabilities

One partner, every channel.

The reason our clients hand us more than one service is simple: when the website, the search program and the social feed are run by the same team, they stop working against each other.

Website Development

Conversion-first sites on WordPress, Shopify and custom stacks — each built around one commercial job.

SEO & AI Search

Rankings, Google Map Pack and AEO/GEO — being the answer in AI Overviews and ChatGPT, not just page one.

Social Media Marketing

Always-on content and audience building across Meta, Instagram and LinkedIn, on a schedule that holds.

Paid Advertising

Google and Meta Ads measured on cost per lead and return on ad spend — not impressions.

Branding & Software

Identity systems, web apps, mobile apps and AI automation when off-the-shelf will not do it.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Do you only work with businesses in Melbourne?+

No. We are Melbourne-based, with offices in the CBD and Moorabbin, and a good share of our clients are local — but we work with businesses across Australia. Aussie-Dinkum Calibration is served across Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, and Oranex sells nationally. Being in one city has never limited where we can rank or sell for a client.

Do I have to take every service, or can I start with one?+

Start with one. Several clients on this page engage us for a single service — IGA, Cellarbrations, Smokin’ Joe’s and Eat The Beat are social media only. Others, like T-Gardens, started with one piece and added the rest as it made commercial sense. We would rather do one thing properly than sell you four.

Are there lock-in contracts?+

No lock-in contracts. Ongoing work runs month to month. We keep clients through results, not paperwork — and if a channel is not earning its place, we will tell you before you have to ask.

What does a project cost?+

It depends on scope, and we will not pretend otherwise — a single-service social retainer and a five-city website with paid search are different orders of magnitude. What we will do on the first call is give you a realistic range for what you are describing, and tell you if your budget is better spent elsewhere first.

How quickly will I see results?+

It depends on the channel. Paid advertising can produce enquiries within days of going live, because you are buying the traffic. SEO is a compounding program measured over months, not weeks — which is why our SEO clients are on ongoing engagements rather than one-off projects. Website builds are the fastest structural win: fixing the page a customer already lands on lifts conversion immediately.

Can I speak to your existing clients?+

Where the client is happy to speak, yes — ask on the call and we will arrange a reference relevant to your industry. We will not hand out client contact details without their permission.

Who actually does the work?+

Our own team. You get one point of accountability rather than an account manager relaying messages to another supplier — which is the main reason clients consolidate services with us after the first engagement.
